TARO RESORT
A fast custom website with its own booking engine for a riverside nature resort in Katana, Sri Lanka. The slow WordPress theme was rebuilt from scratch as a lightweight PHP website with the resort's best photography, room types, live availability, online booking with booking references and confirmation emails.
The resort team manages pages, blog posts, images, rooms, bookings, a booking calendar, enquiries and SEO keywords from a simple admin panel.

01Project Initiation and Planning
Before diving into development, I outlined the objectives of www.websiter.lk. The primary goal was to create a professional platform to showcase my web design and development expertise. I gathered requirements, designed the site architecture, and drafted a sitemap to ensure seamless navigation.
02Structuring the Website with HTML
The foundation of the website was built using HTML, which provided a structured framework for organising content. I used semantic tags to create a clean, accessible layout, ensuring clarity and optimisation for both users and search engines.
03Designing the Interface with CSS3
To enhance the aesthetics and responsiveness of the site, I utilised CSS3. This included crafting a modern design with fluid grids, adaptive layouts, and smooth animations. The styling ensured consistency across devices and browsers, elevating the user experience.
04Adding Functionality with JavaScript
I integrated JavaScript to introduce interactivity and dynamic behaviour to the website. Features like form validations, animated sliders, and dropdown menus were implemented. Custom animations were added using JavaScript libraries and CSS keyframes, enhancing the site's visual appeal.
05Dynamic Backend Development with PHP
For backend functionalities, I employed PHP to handle dynamic content, process user input, and connect to databases. This allowed the site to deliver a personalised experience, such as managing contact form submissions and integrating analytics for insights.
06Testing and Deployment
After development, I rigorously tested the site across various devices and browsers to ensure responsiveness, functionality, and performance. Following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), I completed the deployment phase, launching a polished, fully functional website that embodies my technical skills and creative vision.
